Atascadero was founded in 1913 as a planned colony by E.G. Lewis, and you can still see that plan in the City Hall rotunda, the Sunken Gardens and the tree-covered lots across the hills. Patriot Plumbing and Drain Cleaning is a family-owned, Navy-veteran-run plumber serving Atascadero 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Sewer or septic: it depends on your street. According to the City, its sewer system serves roughly half of Atascadero's residents and most businesses. The rest of the city uses private septic systems. If you're on city sewer, the City notes that homeowners are responsible for the lateral from the house to the main, including keeping it clear of roots and grease. That's where our drain cleaning, camera inspections and trenchless sewer replacement come in.
Big lots, long lines. Large lots and oak trees mean long water and sewer runs, and roots that find their way into older pipe. Long underground supply lines can also leak out of sight. If your water bill jumps or you hear water running with everything off, it's time for leak detection.
Older homes. Atascadero has homes from many eras. Older houses may have aging supply lines that are good candidates for repiping, especially during a remodel.
We also serve Templeton, Paso Robles, Santa Margarita, San Luis Obispo and all of SLO County.
Is my home on sewer or septic?
Roughly half of Atascadero homes are on city sewer and the rest on septic. Your property tax bill shows a sewer charge if you're connected, or you can ask the City's Public Works department.
Who is responsible for my sewer lateral?
On city sewer, the homeowner maintains the lateral from the house to the main. We can inspect, clean, repair or replace it.
